Chinese Cooking Demonstration in Quince Café, Boutique Food Shop

I had the pleasure to do a Chinese cooking demonstration in Quince Kitsilano today.  There were six dishes on the menu:

  • Fraser Valley organic chicken, stir-fried with garlic shoots, red and yellow peppers  
  • Stir-fried tiger prawns with traditional Cantonese-style black bean sauce  
  • Chinese style BBQ pork with Maltose glaze, (Char – Siu)  
  • Stir Fried baby Bak Choy, ginger and garlic
  • Yangzhou egg fried rice with char-siu (BBQ pork) and prawns
  • Chilled Fresh Mango Pudding with Coconut Cream
